 | Selvole is a hilltop farm 12 kms far from Siena centre. We rent self-catering apartments for 2, up to 6 people, providing linens and towels ( BREAKFAST IS NOT PROVIDED although you can ask in advance when you book and we will leave them in your apartment at a small charge.
The "village" complex which is located about 200 metres from the winery, office and the cellar, consists of 3 old farmhouses that have been converted and divided into 21 apartments of different size and shape. At the centre of it all is a swimming pool, and guests can enjoy complete peace and tranquillity there. | | Guests can ask for a free wine tour at the reception, and enjoy the excellent wines of Selvole farm together with us. | | Since it is a self-catering apartment we recommend that you bring some food especially for your first night. We also have local shops nearby (4 to 6 kms) and two big supermarkets near the Siena railway station. | | We usually suggest to come here by car, so that you'll be able to enjoy the amenities of our wanderfull countryside and nice villages nearby. Anyway, if you don't have a car, you can ask us to come and pick you up at Siena railway station ( please, ask the transfer in at least a couple of days in advance, so that we can arrange it, otherwise we can't guarantee the sevice). Pick up complimentary service works from monday to friday ( NOT ON SUNDAYS or holidays and only at specific hours such as mid morning around 9.30 am and 4.30 to 5 pm ) and it's reserved to not more than 4 people, for we have just a normal car. |

Selvole is 20 minutes from Siena, 5 mins from Pievasciata, the nearest village, 10 minutes from Vagliagli,where you can find a food shop, a bar and a few restaurants, and 12 minutes from Pianella, another village not so far from here. | | Directions | You can reach Selvole leaving the Florence-Siena motorway at Siena Nord. From the north enter this road at Firenze Certosa (motorway A1), from south at Bettolle and then near Siena take the orbital road until Siena nord.
Here you can take the road to Castellina in Chianti and after 1 km to the right again to Vagliagli | | Transportation | Train from the north or south to Siena, otherwise a more rapid train service to Florence, then change to local train to Siena. There is also a good rapid nonstop bus service from Florence to Siena , a nonstop bus service Rome-Siena, Milano-Siena, Bologna-Siena, Perugia-Siena. | | Airport | Florence (one hour 30mins) Pisa (two hours) |
