Casachianti is the ideal starting point for a cultural and artistic tour around Tuscany and the crossing point of very interesting natural itineraries and routes that are part of the excursion programme
'Dolce campagna, antiche mura'.

It is located in the heart of Tuscany exactly halfway between Florence (35 Km far) and Siena (40 Km far)and at only one hour's drive from Pisa and the sea. The world famous mediaval town of San Gimignano is only 18 Km far away and Certaldo, birthplace of the medieval writer Giovanni Boccaccio, is only 10 minutes's drive.
The centre of Firenze is easily reachable by train, the train station being in Certaldo with several trains leaving to the city almost at every hour.

Location & Transportation

It is located in the heart of Tuscany exactly halfway between Florence (35 Km far) and Siena (40 Km far) and at only one hour's drive from Pisa and the sea. The world famous medieval town of San Gimignano is only 18 Km far away and Certaldo, birthplace of the medieval writer Givanni Boccaccio, is only 10 minutes' drive. The location is on the very famous and typical tuscan "rolling hills" and the view from the huge terrace is amazing particularly at the sunset.
Directions	Highway A1 exit Firenze Certosa then take Motorway to Siena and exit Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. Follow the indications to Marcialla and then head to Fiano. In Fiano turn left and after 1 Km you will find Casachianti on your left side of the road.
Transportation	Train station is in Certaldo which is 7 Km far from Casachianti and there are trains leaving for Firenze and Siena almost at every hour. The bus stop is in front of Casachianti and there are three buses a day to Certaldo.
Airport	Firenze airport is 40 Km far

Amenities & Attractions

The house dates back to the 18th century and used to be part of a bigger estate surronded by vineyards and olive trees.
It was completely restored in 1990 maintaining its original character and architecture.
The rooms are on the first floor. They have floors in Tuscan cotto and ceilings have open beams and entresols in cotto in the tuscan country fashion.
Each room has its private bathroom with shower and there is also a shared kitchen available for all guests.
All rooms have ceiling fans.

They are furnished according to the countryside Tuscan tradition that gives the place a warm and charming atmosphere.Each room has its private bathroom with shower. There are ceiling fans in each room but no air conditioning. There is also a shared kitchen available with cooking facilities that can also be considered a meeting and socializing point for guests. Cleanings and changing of the towels to be provided every three days.

Familiary run restaurant with typical tuscan food such as the fiorentina steak and the famous "ribollita". In summer the terrace offers an amazing view over the tuscan rolling hills at sunset.
